Fitness Fellowship 2025: Check-in 23
How has the week been for you, friends? Did you meet your goals, fall short, make new ones, take a break from goal-getting? Whatever the answer, please know that this is a judgement-free zone. We're here to support your fitness journey no matter what zigs and zags it takes!
As always, please do share what you're willing to share here. And, as always, please know that you can change and/or update your fitness goals at any point in the year.
Weight: I saw a modest loss this week (about .8 pounds) and am happy with that.
Exercise: This was a good week for steps-getting, as I proctored exams Monday through Thursday. That always means lots of steps! I also got a good bit of gardening in, as well as one long hike on Saturday. I did yoga four times and weights six times this past week. I've been enjoying some of the Fiton exercise videos as a way to break up my routine.
Eating plan: So, good news, bad news, re: eating. I'm on my summer break, which means I can cook fresh meals for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, and in the summer, I often eat a late breakfast and then skip lunch altogether. But summertime also means free time, which sometimes means snacking and/or road trip snacks and/or indulgences to celebrate my break, etc. I had a bit of over-indulgence, sweets-wise, but I am moderating those cravings, and I think I'll be fine going forward. I think if I hadn't gotten SO much exercise, I definitely wouldn't have seen that mild dip in my weight, though.
Sleep: My body doesn't want to give up getting up early, damn it! Lol! So, I have been getting lots of good sleep.
Meditation: Yes! I think I managed two or three guided meditations this past week.
Hydration: Absolutely!
The week ahead: I'm going to work on suppressing my snacking/sweets urges and enjoy the time I have to prepare good meals for myself.
I'm sending you good summertime vibes from my neck of the woods, where the temperatures have been moderate and the rains welcome.
