Fitness Fellowship 2026: Check-in 12

Happy Spring or Fall (depending on your spot on the globe)! I hope the season's change means good things for you.

Around here, we have freezing temperatures and snow flurries in the forecast, my backyard is underwater from the weekend's rain, and the few spring peepers in the pond out back sound disconsolate.

Still, we are moving forward, as always. What progress have you made this week, if any? Has holding your ground been enough? Are you struggling? Please do share your triumphs and struggles with us here. We never judge.

Weight: Exactly the same as last week. I'll take it!

Exercise: Yoga 4/4, strength-training 3/3, purposeful steps every day. (Yesterday, it was the elliptical because of the steady, soaking rains.)

Eating plan: I've been good about not splurging on the weekend, and yesterday I made a big pot of "beef" stew, loaded with potatoes, carrots, onions, mushrooms, and corn, and including some plants-based meat for a treat. I'm pleased to report it's very good.

Hydration: Yes!

Meditation: No! I still experience a certain mental block where meditation is concerned, but I *will* return to my practice of at least twice a week.

Sleep: Ahhahahhhaahhhahaa...I stayed up ridiculously late Saturday into Sunday, and that has borked my sleeping pattern. I'm a fool. *sighs*

The week ahead: Go to bed, you goofball. Also, meditate!

I hope the week ahead brings you just the weather that best suits you!

Spring sunshine has been the one really good thing the past week. We've had a few lovely walks in the woods. I love spring. Sorry to hear it hasn't been very spring-like where you are. Otherwise last week was a bit of a non-week for me. Mostly just marking mock exams it feels like. Good luck with bed times and meditation over the next week.
