How has this past week been for you? I hope it's been a good one for you in every way it can be.

If you're feeling so inclined, please share how your fitness journey is, has been, and/or will be. Whether you're recommitting to an effort, making a fresh start, or working on the same old plan, please know that we're a small but supportive and super-non-judgmental group hereabouts, and we're happy to have you along for the journey.



Weight. I lost .6 pounds this week, which made me super-happy.

Exercise: I have had some success this week with regaining my stamina and breath. I built up to it slowly over a few days, and though I sometimes hit a wall and just have to stop, I'm finding it easier to walk for longer periods of time and even got out to weed and do some yardwork yesterday. Today, we took a 3+-mile hike, and I did well, though towards the end I was definitely feeling it. I'm still experiencing the effects of having had COVID, but I think I've finally turned a corner.

Eating plan: I really did well this week except for popcorn at night before bed. I've asked T. to simply not resupply me (he gets it from his work) because I'm weak if something is in the house and able to resist it if it would involve a special trip to pick it up. If popcorn is the worst I'm eating, though, I think I'm doing okay. There's been some splurging this weekend, but even there, I think I've still been within my daily calorie quota.

The week ahead: I'm going to maintain the exercise regimen, with the codicil that I will pay attention to when my body needs to rest. I'm going to cut out the popcorn and work on having more veggies with my meals to try to fill up with good stuff (e.g. fiber). Maybe this will cut down on the popcorn urge, though honestly, I think that's mostly psychological. And I'm going to have a splurge MEAL next weekend, not a whole splurge weekend--lol!

This is very late, sorry. This past week has been a little crazy.

Glad to hear you're feeling better and getting stronger.

This morning I dropped under 70kgs on the scale. I'm ridiculously excited about it, but I'm also not sure I can trust the scale. We'll see tomorrow. I have been rather virtuous the last two weeks, though, so it must be working :)
