I'm getting the impression that there are very few viewers following along at home, so I'm going to discontinue the Fellowship, but I will continue to make semi-regular fitness updates like this one, and if you DO want to share your own fitness triumphs and challenges, I am always up for that.

I also love to share good (vegan or vegan-convertible) recipes, fitness tips, your favorite work-out soundtracks, what you love to hate about fitness, the never-ending sports bra search, etc.

To be clear, I am Not Fit (TM). I'm overweight and need to get back in shape. I've done it before and hope to do it again. I'm not unfit, either. I eat well, I get a fair amount of steps in daily because of my job, I use a standing desk at work, and when the weather is better, I engage in a LOT of heavy-lifting, digging, hauling, bending, weeding, stretching, and walking--and that's all just from my favorite seasonal hobby, gardening. I also like to walk and am hoping to start jogging again when I lose enough weight to take the stress off of my knees and ankles, which will otherwise protest if I do not take care of them.

All of this is to say: If you care to talk about anything at all related to how you're feeling, what you'd like to do to be fit, what you are doing to be fit, what you could do if you were able to do, etc. I'm here for it all, my friends. :-)

How I did this week )

Thanks for listening! :-)

March has been pretty unforgiving so far, at least on the weather front, though I have nothing at all to complain about compared to those poor people in Alabama. Still, it's cold, snowy, windy, and just all-around unfriendly out there. *sighs*

That said, I had a pretty okay week on the fitness end of things. I'll put my report in the cut, as usual.

How have you been doing? Have you had any triumphs? Setbacks? Do you feel pretty good about the goals you've set?

As always, feel free to join in at any time. All comments are welcome!

Week Nine Review )

I hope the week ahead is a good one for you, friends!

Well, we're at the two-month mark for any fitness goals we set for the new year.

How are we doing?

As usual, I'll throw my own answer behind the cut. If you'd like to share, please do so in the comments. All are welcome! :-)

Two months )

Have a great week ahead, friends!

Hi, there!

This is a friendly reminder that anyone can join us at any time with any fitness-related goal in whatever way it is you define both fitness and goals. We're VERY easygoing (and friendly, too!) :-)

If you'd like to hop in, just share whatever goal it is you're trying to achieve. Then, at your own pace, feel free to comment on the weekly post or not, as you prefer. Really, this is all about accountability, but you choose how involved you'd like to be. Usually, I ask you to share how your past week has gone and what your plans for the week ahead might be.

So: How'd Week Seven go for you? Did you have any victories? Any stumbling blocks? Do you have any food, fitness, and/or fun tips to share? We'd love to hear from you!

My Week Seven )

Have a fantastic week, my friends!

Hey, friends: How was the last week for you? Did you make any new fitness goals? Abandon any old ones? Have you been holding steady or struggling?

As always, you're welcome to join us at any time. No goal is insignificant. If you have something you want to do to help yourself be fitter, by whatever definition applies, please let us know. We're here to share.

My Week Six )

Until next time, friends, wishing you the achievement of your goals.

I'm writing to you at the brink of a two-day break because we're having a hella awesome snowstorm right now (I was out tromping around in the back earlier) and the temperatures are going to plummet to the negative digits overnight, with a potential windchill of -25F for the next two days. As I have no grading or prep work to do, this means two days of reading, drinking tea, writing, cuddling with my cats, and trying to kick the last vestiges of this cold out of my body. Yay!

Because I was sick for most of the week, my own fitness plans suffered, but I hope that you had a good week. Please do comment to let us know how your week went, fitness-wise.

Anyone is welcome to join in at any time. We're a very laid-back, easygoing group.

My week in review )

I hope you're all safe and warm if you're in the path of this storm, and if you're on the other side of the world, I hope you're not melting!

May the week ahead see you fit and happy, my friends.

Hello, Friends:

So, how was your first week of 2019? Did you take a step toward your short- or long-term fitness goal(s)? Did you face impediments to those steps? Has it been a struggle to be motivated, or have you blazed a righteous trail?

Please do tell us how the week has been for you and also fill us in on what you hope to do in the week ahead. Remember, this challenge is you-centric, so you may change your goal(s), your plan of action, and/or your participation commitment at any time. We aren't here to judge (unless you're into that--lmk ;-) but to cheerlead, commiserate, etc.

My Week One )

Here's wishing you a great Week Two!
