Greetings from a rainy Monday afternoon here in my part of the world. We're finally having seasonably appropriate weather here, which means there has been a lot of walking outdoors. Yay!

I hope the weather where you are has been conducive to health, whatever that means for you. (I know folks hereabouts who suffer from pollen allergies are miserable right now, so your mileage may definitely vary, time and place depending.)

As always, please share in the comments how your week has been. I'm always happy to hear from you, but please do not feel any pressure to share.

My Weekly Check-in )

I'm sending you all the good vibes I can spare for a positive week ahead!

Welcome to another weekly check-in for our little band of merry fitness folk! I hope the week has been a good one for you.

If you're so inclined, please share your ups and downs for the past week and any goals you have for the week ahead. As always, there is no judgement here, only encouragement, commiseration, and support. :-)

My Week in Review )

I'm hoping your week is as stress-free as possible, my friends!

Here we are with another week under our belts! Here's hoping that belt fits comfortably, the way we most want it to fit.

As usual, please do share how your fitness journey has been and what, if any, your goals are for the week ahead. Please know that you are always welcome to drop, add, or edit existing goals. This little community is for you; make it the best fit you can.

My Week )

I'm sending out good vibes for all of us that the week we're in is a good one.

March is almost over. It's going out like a lamb here, but I'm sure it's quite lion-like for others. Once again, my mind turns toward how much effect the weather has on my energy level and ability to exercise in the form(s) I most prefer. I hope that wherever you are in the world, the weather is giving you reasons to get out and enjoy it, if that's your preference.

Please share as much or as little of your fitness experience for the week that has just passed. As you know, there will be no judgement, only gentle encouragement here.

My Weekly Check-in )

Here's hoping the week ahead gives us ample opportunity to be fit!

Wow! Can you believe we've been at this for three months already? Take a moment to give yourself a pat on the back if you set a goal for yourself and have achieved it in any way, partially or wholly. Sticking with our goals consistently, even when we falter, is the one habit that will allow us to make progress. So, GO US for doing this for so long already!

As is our way, please share your ups and downs along your path to fitness this past week.

My Weekly Check-in )

Here's hoping the week ahead is full of good food and good feelings about our individual fitness goals!

Greetings, friends! I hope you've found some little things to bring you joy this past week and that your fitness journey has been a smooth one.

As usual, please do share how your week has been and anything you are considering for the week ahead.

My Week in Review )

May the road rise up to meet you and the wind be always at your back.

Hello out there! I hope you're all hanging in there and have had a great week of achieving your fitness goals.

As usual, please share as much or as little of your success (or otherwise) with us here. Remember, you're welcome to adjust your goals as you go along, too. And, as always, there is no judgement.

My Weekly Check-in )

May the week ahead bring you the energy you need to have success, however you define that.

Hello, fellow travelers on the fitness road. I hope the week behind us has been kind to you.

As always, please share as much or as little of your progress (or lack thereof) as you'd like. There is no judgement here.

My Week in Review )

Wishing you a week to remember (for good reasons)!

Hey! We've made it through another week. I hope it's been a good one for you, full of opportunities to meet your personal goals.

As always, please share as much or as little of your progress, plans, and goals as you'd like here. We're here to listen, not to judge.

My Weekly Check-in )

I'm wishing you a solid week of progress, friends!

Greetings from the frozen tundra! (Okay, we don't actually have tundra here, but it feels like we should. Brrrr!)

How has your week been, fitness-wise and/or otherwise? Please feel free to share, as always, and know that there is never any judgement here.

My Check-in )

I'm sending you good vibes for the week we're in. :-)

Greetings, Friends! I hope life has been gentle with you this past week and that you've had opportunities to move your body and eat good food and get lots of rest for both your body and your mind. I've had to force myself off of BlueSky because doom-scrolling messes me up. I hope you're likewise finding ways to moderate your intake of the chaos.

As always, please share as much or as little of the week's fitness journey as you'd like. Don't forget that you're welcome to change your goals at any point; this little group is about public accountability, but you can define that however is best for you.

My Week in Review )

Wishing you a good week ahead, my friends, with plenty of chances to do what's best for you and your health. *hugs*

We've made it to February, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. I guess one of the silver linings of difficult times is that even simple survival can feel like a victory. I hope you're all practicing whatever self-care you need to get through these dark days. And for those of you who aren't in the US, I hope your part of the world is helping you thrive.

My Weekly Check-in )

I'm sending what light I can spare to you all, my friends, especially folks who are already tired of winter and ready for the first signs of spring to bring us hope.
sylvanwitch: (Default)
Greetings from the center of the gale! We're having terribly high winds and are expecting 5-10 inches of snow tonight, along with lakeshore flooding and potential ice damage from the wind blowing floes up into people's foundations. We aren't on the water, thankfully, but we are on an island in the river, and the roar of the wind is both awesome and unsettling.

But enough about the weather! How has your week been, fitness-wise and otherwise? I hope you've had success, however you're measuring it, and are feeling well.

Week 4 Check-in )

If I could harness the wind, I'd send you all that energy, friends! Have a great week!
sylvanwitch: (Default)
Greetings from the frigid north, my friends! It's cold enough that the light, powdery snow makes a loud crunch with every step, but despite that cold, I have gone out in it twice for brief walks over the past two days. The key is layers!

I hope wherever you are you've had a chance to get some exercise, whatever form you most enjoy, and if you haven't been able to get your body moving, I hope you are, at least, feeling strong and well.

My Check-in for Week 3 )

I'm sending you healthy vibes for the week ahead, my friends!

sylvanwitch: (Phryne Fisher)
Greetings from the winter-struck north! It is snowing like mad out there, and I'm happy to be safely home (earlier than usual) instead of out there in the falling darkness as the roads grow worse and worse.

I hope you all are safe and warm and comfy wherever you are and that the week we've just completed was a good one for you, for whatever value of "good" you choose to employ. Please do share your trials and triumphs with us here. As always, there is no judgment, only solidarity and empathy.

My Check-in )

I am hoping the week we're entering gives us the energy we need to do our best.
sylvanwitch: (Default)
Each Monday throughout the year, I'll post a check-in. I'm breaking with earlier tradition and instead of numbering it by the week we've had, I'll simply go in ascending numerical order. I'm wild, I know. ;-)

If you are so inclined, please tell us how you've done on your fitness goals since the goals post on 1 January 2025. You may go into as much or as little detail as possible.

If you're just joining us, you're welcome to jump in. If you need to skip check-in this week (or any week), that's fine, too!

Checking In )

May the week ahead be a good one for you, giving you the energy you need to achieve the goals you've set for yourself.

Here we are at the start of another year together, friends, and I am excited to welcome you to the Fitness Fellowship 2025.

For those who are unfamiliar with how this very low-key community works, it's pretty simple: You set personal short- and/or long-term fitness goals, defining fitness however you'd like, and then check in each week--or as often or as little as you feel like. Check-in is not compulsory. You may join us and/or leave us whenever you wish.

I promise, in turn, to offer support and encouragement. I do not offer unsolicited advice, and I never judge, and the same has always been true of the good folks who participate here.

Check-ins will be on Mondays, starting on 6 January 2025.

If this seems like something you're interested in trying, please feel free to leave your goals and plans in the comments to this post.

My 2025 Goals and Plans )

May your first goals find success, giving you momentum for the long haul, and may 2025 be a better year than any reasonable person could expect it to be.

sylvanwitch: (Default)
Well, we made it to the end of another year of triumphs and tragedies, my friends.

You are welcome to share a retrospective of your year's fitness journey here or simply check-in for the last full week of 2024. As always, there will be no judgement from any of us who have made this place a little weekly home.

My Week in Review )

I'll post the 2025 welcome on Wednesday (1/1/25 GMT -5), if you are thinking of joining or re-joining us. Until then, Happy New Year! May 2025 be better than a reasonable person might expect!
sylvanwitch: (Default)
Whatever holiday you celebrate--or don't--I hope the next week is as stress-free as possible for you and that you get to spend at least some time with people you like doing things you enjoy.

This time of year is often one long temptation and also often causes disruptions in routines, making working out, for example, a challenge, but it is only a week or so a year, and we can do it! We'll be the better for letting ourselves have what we want, I think.

Anyway, as usual, please share as little or as much as you'd like to about your fitness journey for the past week and any changes in goal for the week ahead.

My plan is to post one more check-in, on Monday, 30 December, and then post the introduction to the new year on 1 January. After that, my check-in day will be Sunday, for reasons I'll explain in the cut.

My Week in Review )

May the week ahead be a good one for you all, my friends, and may you find some peace, comfort, joy, rest, and laughter waiting for you there. *hugs*

ETA: Oops! I only just noticed that there are two Week 40 Check-ins. I knew we were a week "behind," as it were, but I had been too lazy to try to figure it out. Anyway, this is more properly Week 51's check-in, so I've adjusted the header accordingly. I apologize for the confusion!
