Friends, I should hang my head in shame. This past week has been an exercise in lack-of-exercise! I hope you've had more success with your week.

Please do share your ups and downs and what you have planned for the week to come. As always, feel free to jump in any time. :-)

You may recall that I went into Week Seven with a cold. While the cold improved over the course of the week, my energy levels did not, and frankly, I didn't even TRY to exercise. I was so tired and so ready for our winter break to begin that I just kept my eyes on that prize and ignored the need for exercise.

I did try to get my requisite number of steps in daily and mostly succeeded in that, at least, but otherwise, there was no extra exercise for me.

My eating was also not awesome. We got takeout on Wed. and Fri. and went out to eat on Sat. of this week, and the other days, I just didn't have the energy or motivation to cook healthy, complete meals. While I did manage some fruit consumption and had a salad or two and a vegetable dish here and there, it was not what I'd call a complete success.

Sleep-wise, I did okay.

I did not meditate.

Now I'm on break, so you'd think I'd be getting my exercise, right? Um...

Saturday and Sunday we did some boxing and hauling of stuff from the old house to the new, so that counted, I suppose, for some exercise, and Saturday night we did go mall-walking on purpose (so real exercise there). Today, I've been cleaning (vacuuming first and then on to mopping). I hope that counts because I just don't FEEL like exercising. I'm on break, damnit! That said, it's supposed to be warm tomorrow (high fifties), though raining. I hope to get outside for a walk.

But in general, I am not doing so well on any front. Ah, well. I'll keep plugging along.

Peace,
SW
