Fitness Fellowship 2019: Week Three
Jan. 23rd, 2019 06:45 pmHello!
First, let me apologize for being a day late with this. I remembered only after I'd shut down for the evening, and I couldn't muster the energy to come back online. I don't get the impression that we're sticklers for the schedule, but even so, I wanted you to know that I realize I fell behind.
Next, if you haven't joined us before but are interested, please do. Just share whatever your long- and/or short-term goal(s) are, and we'll cheer-lead, butt-kick, commiserate, or whatever else you need from us to help you get and stay motivated to achieve your goals!
Now, please do share how the past week has gone for you and any goals/plans you have for the week to come. We're here to listen! :-)
I was doing SO well, food-wise, until I woke up sick on Saturday, and then I was either eating only what I could manage to keep down or only what took little prep time to put together. I'm back today to eating better meals, and I wasn't off-the-rails in terms of my eating, but still...
Also because of my illness, I didn't make my daily step count for four days, and I didn't do ANY extra exercise (except for clearing off my car and around my car on Monday, which was a mistake, health-wise).
BUT, probably also because of my illness, I lost weight for sure this week. I'm down about 2.6 pounds or so from the 1st of the month, and I'll take it!
I got VERY little sleep Thursday into Friday because the ER visit to my mom triggered serious anxiety (I hate the hospital smell; it's almost an atavistic trigger. Everything cascades when it hits me. Gods, but I hate that smell). Anyway, that meant VERY little sleep. Otherwise, I slept a LOT, largely because I was and am sick, and so far, I've been able to sleep at night, which is pretty amazing (usually, my cough keeps me up). Despite all that sleep, I'm still exhausted today, when I went back to work despite lingering symptoms. Ah well, can't have everything.
Meditation: Um...no. *sighs* I suck. I will be better, damnit! I will!
My plans for next week are to continue eating clean, work on getting in those at least four days of exercise, hit my steps count daily, meditate at least once, and get enough sleep every night.
Have a fabulous Week Four, friends!

Date: Friday, 25 January 2019 04:22 pm (UTC)I continue my newfound habit of meditating in bed in the morning, but tbh it feels a bit like cheating, so I should perhaps aim towards at least sitting upright like the app tells me to...

Date: Sunday, 27 January 2019 02:08 am (UTC)Yay for meditating! When I remember to try, I'm usually already in bed at night, so I have done it once or twice there, except, as I'm sure you can predict, I fall asleep instead of really going for very long. ;-)
