I'm getting the impression that there are very few viewers following along at home, so I'm going to discontinue the Fellowship, but I will continue to make semi-regular fitness updates like this one, and if you DO want to share your own fitness triumphs and challenges, I am always up for that.

I also love to share good (vegan or vegan-convertible) recipes, fitness tips, your favorite work-out soundtracks, what you love to hate about fitness, the never-ending sports bra search, etc.

To be clear, I am Not Fit (TM). I'm overweight and need to get back in shape. I've done it before and hope to do it again. I'm not unfit, either. I eat well, I get a fair amount of steps in daily because of my job, I use a standing desk at work, and when the weather is better, I engage in a LOT of heavy-lifting, digging, hauling, bending, weeding, stretching, and walking--and that's all just from my favorite seasonal hobby, gardening. I also like to walk and am hoping to start jogging again when I lose enough weight to take the stress off of my knees and ankles, which will otherwise protest if I do not take care of them.

All of this is to say: If you care to talk about anything at all related to how you're feeling, what you'd like to do to be fit, what you are doing to be fit, what you could do if you were able to do, etc. I'm here for it all, my friends. :-)

Food. Did you know Girl Scout Thin Mints are vegan? I didn't. And then I did. And then I ate some. (To be fair to me, I still have part of one sleeve, which means that I'm doing better than I would have a few years ago.) Also, we made a Whole Foods vegan baked goods run, which means I've also been eating rugelach, cinnamon crumpets, ginger cookies, and the like. Baked goods are my crack. *sighs*

That said, I haven't gained any weight this week! I haven't lost any, either, but honestly, it's a win when there have been Thin Mints in my life.

Sleep. Daylight savings time is fucking me up. *groans* The older I get, the harder it hits me. Seriously, it sucks.

Meditation. I WIN! Yes! I actually did it! Like, felt the third-eye tingle, went to a different "place," everything. It was awesome! I'm definitely trying it again this week.

Exercise. I am a failing thing who fails. Even before the onset of DST, I was tired a lot, for whatever reason, and though I DID make it a point to get in A LOT of extra steps for two days of the week, I otherwise failed on my four-days-a-week promise.

So, for the week ahead:

Fewer Thin Mints. More exercise. At least one meditation session. Sleep...please? (Honestly, it's not me being irresponsible. It's my circadian rhythms being really upset with the arbitrary time change.)

Thanks for listening! :-)
