This has been a heck of a week for me, with too much stress, so I'm taking today mostly easy, hoping to recuperate.

How has the past week been for you? Did you make any progress with your personal fitness goals? Please share the triumphs and struggles with us if you are so inclined.

This was an extremely stressful week, so I am not surprised to discover I gained about a half a pound, and I'm okay with that.

I kept to my eating plan and was very good about it, which I consider a massive victory given the amount of stress I had throughout the week.

Exercise was less regular this week than usual because of lots of time commitments and energy-sucking obligations, but I did get my steps in every day and did SOME sort of exercise every day, even if it wasn't 30 full minutes.

My bedtime was pretty good, but I had a lot of trouble getting to sleep and then had a lot of stupid, disruptive dreams. *sighs*

I did meditate once. We had a faculty retreat, and part of that was a visualization meditation, which I rocked! Lol! I was surprised at how easily that sort of meditation came back to me. It left me with a troubling message and lots to think on, but it was a good meditation. I also did some "boxing the breath" exercises to try to help myself sleep a couple of nights, to lesser or greater effect, brain depending.

I'm hydrating very well, too, especially now that I've got a filter pitcher and I just fill up a large stainless steel insulated bottle to take to work with me each day.

My plan for the week ahead is to get back into a regular routine of riding the recumbent bike. Fingers crossed there are no more weeks like this past one.

Be well in the week ahead, friends!

Sorry it's been stressful. For me it wasn't good either. Skipped the gym between sugar issues and time. My sugar is rollercoastering it (I think in response to some estrogen flares, look uterus, no one ever wanted to use you so call it a life already)

It’s always amazing to me what effects our blood sugar!! Like that has nothing to do with food. I hope you can get it stabilized soon.

I’ve had one day that I was able to bike…I thought my tailbone was good but today it’s trying to argue again so we’ll see how that goes later today.

I did lose two pounds over the last two weeks (I forgot to weigh last week) so I guess my attempt to be sensible plan isn’t back firing

Yeah the icing and anti-inflammitories must be helping. Saturday I sat here four hours straight with no issue and did my bike ride. So I didn’t use the ice pack sat or Sunday night. Maybe I got too eager to say it was well 😆

I had a nightmare week and it's more of the same this week. A colleague and good friend who I work really closely with at school had a heart attack. He's only 56! He's been so stressed the past year. He's okay but is going to be off for weeks. I've had to try and pick up his A level lessons for the classes we share, which is an impossible thing as I teach a full timetable. Today they offered to pay me to do additional after school lessons - when I'm already overwhelmed with my current workload. Trying to eat well and do exercise has gone out of the window.

We're going on strike on Wednesday over under-funding in education, lack of teachers and poor pay conditions. I'm considering just staying at home and working all day to catch up on marking instead of going to the rally, even though I'm not paid because I'm on strike! Jesus, the fucking irony.

Sigh, late comment. Anyway, I'm sorry your week was so stressful. /o\ Best wishes for the coming one...

- Go to bed and turn out the light at 11 pm.
Perhaps a little backsliding compared to last week, and I slept a little more badly, too. But for unrelated reasons, I think.

- Keep to my food goals.
Food was fine.

- Go out in the woods every day except Wednesday.
Yes.

- Go running three times.
Yes. Also I bought new running shoes, which I needed.

- Do a workout every day except Wednesday.
Yes, except Thursday. I'd done something to my back on Wednesday, which happily cleared up with a day's rest.

- Try out a new workout once.
Nope, I still have not.

Goals for this week:
- Go to bed and turn out the light at 11 pm every day.
- Keep to my food goals.
- Go out in the woods every day except Monday and perhaps Sunday (depending on a possible activity).
- Go running three times.
- Do a workout every day except Monday, Wednesday and perhaps Sunday.
- Try out a new workout once (let's see if I do it this time...).

January was a rough month, but I managed to lose a little weight anyway, so I'm hoping I've got my momentum going again.
