I'm not quite sure where the year as gone, but here we are at the tail end of it. If you'd like to use this post to share a retrospective of your year's successes and/or failures, you are more than welcome to do so. Of course, you can also just check-in for the past week. I realize that somewhere along the way, I lost a week, since we do have one more in this year to cover, but I'm sort of handwaving it because I'm tired and still have ALL of my wrapping to do for tomorrow. ;-)
I am planning to do an introduction post for the 2024 Fitness Fellowship next Sunday, on New Year's Eve, so if you've been thinking of joining us for the new year, keep an eye out for that.
I weighed in at 204.2 the other morning but am at 205 this AM, probably because I taste-tested one each of the Christmas cookies I baked yesterday (ginger snaps and peanut butter) and also because we splurged on Chinese takeout, and it was delicious but I ate WAY too much of it. ;-)
I am still intermittent fasting, exercising daily, trying to stay hydrated, get enough sleep, and spend some time in meditation/spirituality/breathing, etc. We have dinner out on the 26th and then are traveling for a few days to visit a friend, so I'm not sure how strict I'll be able to be about certain things, but I'm going to do my best not to put on a bunch of pounds for the holiday week.
If I can stay out of the cookies, I think I'll be okay.
May the week that's left us be a good one for you, and may you find your fitness plans all come to fruition in the week, month, and year ahead.
Happy holidays, for those of you who celebrate!

Date: Sunday, 24 December 2023 10:26 pm (UTC)Looking forward to exercise in the new year; and I'm also looking forward to heading east at some point, so we should connect on that in the near future.

Date: Monday, 25 December 2023 08:53 am (UTC)In week 52 I had some mysterious pains below one knee and in one shoulder, which made it a challenge to exercise. Arrgh. I went walking, and also did some core workouts that did not put weight on either knee or shoulder.
Also, I am at the top end of what I feel comfortable with weight-wise, and it would be nice to lose a few pounds. So I'm proud of eating moderately of the Christmas food yesterday!
Good luck with all your goals the coming week. <3

Date: Monday, 25 December 2023 05:18 pm (UTC)I'm sorry you're having mysterious pains, however, and I hope they abate quickly and with no lingering effects.
Thank you so much for the good luck! And kudos to you for avoiding holiday overeating!
