Fitness Fellowship 2025: Check-in 45
Nov. 10th, 2025 02:13 pmWelcome back to another week's check-in on our fitness journey, friends. I hope the week has been kind to you.
As always, please do tell us how your week has gone. Remember, you're free to adjust your goals at any time. There's never any judgement here.
Weight: 200.6lbs, down 1.2 from last week. I was actually below 200 on Saturday morning, but this has been my pre-birthday weekend, so I've had a couple of indulgent meals/treats. Anyway, I'm not complaining about the loss I did see!
Exercise: I did yoga four times out of four pledged, strength-training three times out of three pledged, and got some steps every day, though not many yesterday. This past work week was extremely stressful, with an evening obligation on both Thursday and Friday. Friday was a service day in two parts, during which I racked up more than 19K steps, and by the end of the night, I was starting to feel a cold coming on. I ignored it on Saturday in favor of getting in lots of walking outdoors, but I paid for that yesterday (Sunday), when I did yoga and lifted weights but got very few steps otherwise.
Eating plan: Other than the aforementioned indulgences, I ate carefully and well all week, and even with the indulgent meals, I was careful not to overeat. I did have dessert on Saturday and last night, but I split a serving of vegan apple-cranberry crisp over those two meals, and I don't feel guilty about it at all. It was full of plump cranberries and whole oats and thick, juicy apple slices. MMmmmmmm!
Hydration: Yes! I've been downing the fluids all weekend and today, hoping to flush out my system.
Meditation: No. And that's just silly because I kept meaning to do it and just never did.
Sleep: I've had some trouble falling asleep since the time change, but I've been so wiped out the last few nights that that has been less of an issue. Here's hoping I get back into a regular sleep routine soon.
The week ahead: Hopefully, I'll get past this cold. I plan the same amount of exercise as usual, but I'll go easy on myself today (which I took off sick) and tomorrow (which I have off for Veterans Day) with getting in steps, if it seems like I'll be pushing it too much.
May your week be a good one, full of only the good kind of surprises!

Done!
Date: Monday, 10 November 2025 11:28 pm (UTC)Finished assembling the lantern terrarium.
Hauled in the goddess statue and ceramic pots for the winter.
Recently:
Rolled up the hose and hauled it indoors for the winter.

Cleared space for the tree guys to deposit mulch, and their yard-clearing is done too.
To be done:
I seriously need to reorganize some space to get the winter things less-in-the-way. That includes moving the buckets outside that I got for the sand and gravel bags. And I need to decant or make use of the comfrey fertilizer that I never got to use in summer.

Date: Tuesday, 11 November 2025 08:47 pm (UTC)We're expecting a thaw and warmer weather towards weeks-end, so I'll hopefully get everything else done, including planting all those spring bulbs.
Good luck with the reorganizing! T. just shoved things in the outbuilding, so I have no idea if I can get at anything now! Lol!
Re: Done!
Date: Tuesday, 11 November 2025 11:16 pm (UTC)I'm pleased.
>> We have about four or five inches of snow, <<
We didn't get that much, just a dusting that collected in low areas. But there are still patches in shady places.
>>and I haven't even finished getting things bedded down.<<
Yeah, nothing has its leaf mulch yet. O_O
>> T. brought in the hoses and the last of the garden statues and stakes, thankfully, or they'd be buried out there now.<<
That's good.

It's supposed to get warmer tomorrow, and Saturday up to 71F. I do have some things to plant.

I very quickly came to the conclusion that we should've bought a bigger garden shed. Ah well. And we never did find someone to put up the greenhouse, so that's still sitting in two huge boxes. *sigh*

Date: Tuesday, 11 November 2025 09:50 pm (UTC)I had an off week last week and ended up eating unhealthily on a few occasions. Not sure why. This week seems to be going the same way. I missed pilates today because it was too dark and rainy outside. I think I'm just a bit tired.
