Fitness Fellowship 2025: Check-in 49
Dec. 8th, 2025 04:48 pmGreetings, fellow travelers on this rocky fitness road!
Now is the time when every media outlet is publishing their "best of" lists and retrospectives of the year, and it makes me feel like I should be doing something similar with our little community, as well, but honestly, I probably won't. So, I do encourage you, if it's your thing, to look back over where you've been in the context of where you are fitness-wise, and, of course, feel free to apply that to where you're going, as well.
Otherwise, please, as always, share how the week has gone for you and what, if any, plans you have for the week ahead in terms of fitness (or in any other aspect of your life, if you're so inclined to share).
Weight: 197.4, which means I've made my adjusted weight loss goal of 15 pounds. Yippee! :-)
Exercise: I lifted three times out of three pledged, did yoga four times out of four pledged, and got some walking in every day. I did an especially challenging 20-minute yoga workout yesterday and am definitely feeling it in my hips and glutes today, but it's a good kind of discomfort, I think.
Eating plan: I've been eating mostly clean, and it's been good. I've gotten into the habit of making a big pot of soup on Sunday afternoon and then having that for lunch each work day. It's tasty, hot, and packed with good nutrition, and I've been enjoying finally conquering the conundrum of soup (which used to be very bland whenever I made it). This week it's fire-roasted tomatoes, garlic, onion, green beans, and navy beans. SO GOOD! (Most of those are canned or frozen ingredients, by the way--my soup-making skills are not fancy.)
Hydration: Yes!
Meditation: Yes, though only once. I need to step up my meditation game this coming week.
Sleep: Okay? The full moon really does a number on my sleep habits. I cannot fall asleep quickly nor stay asleep for long during the days around the full moon. It has been this way for a long time, and I don't imagine it's going to get better, but hoo-boy, it is exhausting! Anyway, last night was much better, so I think I've gone through the worst of it for this lunar cycle.
The week ahead: More of the same.
As ever, I am sending you all the good vibes I can spare, friends!
