So, friends, how has the past week been for you? Have you made new goals, re-established old ones, chucked it all out the window and begun again, taken a breather, or just coasted?

I'd love to hear how you feel it's been going for you. If there's anything I can do to help support your efforts, let me know. That's what this little challenge is all about. :-)



Food. I've done really well here. I've been eating smaller portions and fewer snacks/sweets or choosing fruit for dessert instead of cookies or other sugary sweets. I feel like I'm in a good groove where food is concerned.

Exercise. I was sort of housebound for the three days of bad weather, but I took a walk Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday, so I fulfilled my exercise goals for the week. Sunday's walk definitely proved how very out of the habit I am of taking long walks, but I did it, and I'm happier for it.

Meditation. I did actually consciously attempt to meditate on two different nights, and while I only got to a certain part before nodding off, I feel like it's a habit I'm slowly re-establishing.

Sleep. I got SO MUCH rest for those five days off (three snow days plus a weekend). I've kept it up for the first two days of work this week, but even so, I'm TIRED when I get home. Apparently, all that rest reminded my body what it's like to get lots and lots of sleep, and now it doesn't WANT to get up for work even though I'm getting eight hours a night. Also, I am remembering my dreams almost every night again, which is a mixed blessing.

So, for the week ahead: Keep up the food plan. Exercise at least three days for thirty minutes. Meditate at least once. Sleep at least 7 hours a night.

Also, I'm pleased to report that I lost four pounds in January, so I'm on schedule so far to lose 20 by 1 June. And my work pants this morning definitely fit a little looser than a few weeks ago, so I'm pretty happy about that. Yay!

Wow, you've been doing excellently - congrats! \o/

I have been slacking recently in terms of wellness, due to travelling and various stress factors, but at least I have been doing better in terms of not constantly ruminating/wallowing in dark thoughts/beating myself up, which counts for a lot. This month is a little extreme, but when I move out and things calm down, I am going to work on re-establishing some healthy habits which have been de-prioritised and which I sorely miss.
