My apologies for being late with this post again. I have been in a cleaning frenzy trying to get the house ready for my friend who is cat- and house-sitting for us while we are away next week.

I hope you've had a good week, my friends, and that you'll share your progress with us in the comments here.

Weight: I gained a BUNCH and then LOST it all over the past couple of days of cleaning, so I'm exactly where I was on the scale last week. I'll take it because there were some questionable food choices over the weekend, and I expected the scale to reflect those errors in judgment.

Eating plan: See above, re: bad choices. I kept to my eating window for the most part, but I had richer and more considerable desserts, and we also ordered Chinese takeout, so I could focus on exam-grading last week. The consequences were predictable, and I'm lucky I had enough activity to counteract the weight gain.

Exercise: Every day, yes. Weights, yes. Incline, yes. Intervals...maybe yes? (I think so). There has been no dearth of activity in this house. So. Much. Cleaning.

Meditation: I have definitely been doing some mindful breathing this week.

Hydration: I have been very good about getting at least 48 ounces every day.

Sleep: A-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Lol! I'm on summer break, so while I am usually getting enough sleep, I am not necessarily getting to bed at the same time every night nor getting up at the same time the next morning. I hope to regulate this somewhat once we're home from our vacation, but for now, I'm just...*flails*

The plan for the week ahead: We're going to be doing lots of walking and hiking, so there will be plenty of exercise, but there will also likely be some local baked goods. I am planning to stick to my eating window and to avoid snacking between meals. I'm hoping to avoid the 7-pound gain I saw during last year's Nova Scotia trip. We've rented a cabin, so I'll have a kitchen and will be preparing most of our meals instead of getting takeout or going out to eat, so I should be able to control intake to some extent. Baked goods and snacks on vacation are my weaknesses, however, so we'll have to see. My hope is for some balance of exercise and eating.

May your week be full of those little joys that make this "one wild and precious life" so worth living.

I'm right there with you on back where I started. I hit my low of the year last week, but then I had back-to-back meals with friends (dinner out with a friend on Friday night, and then a cookout with another friend Saturday afternoon) so for a few days I was way up. But somehow I'm back to just one pound above last week's low and hoping for more progress.

I hit a new low of the year! I think my average for the week won't be too impressive since I started the week so high, but I'm still pretty happy. I'm getting close to one of my landmark numbers and I literally have to keep reminding myself that I canNOT celebrate achieving it with food, because my brain immediately starts going, "I deserve a treat!" anytime I accomplish something.

Have a great vacation. I hope you manage to balance some well-deserved indulgence with healthier choices. Enjoy hiking!

I'm still working on embedding the habit of clean fasting until lunchtime on weekdays. It's going well and seems to suit my gut and metabolism. I'm also trying to build in other good habits. I've ordered kefir grains to make yoghurt and a range of different seeds for sprouting microgreens in mason jars - all in the hopes of eating clean and improving my gut biome.

I am likewise on vacation this week! Now on the train home from Norway. I've had a wonderful time! : D There has been hiking of some sort every day, but no working out. I guess we'll see tomorrow how my weight has fared--I did eat at some nice restaurants.

Have a great time on your vacation, too! <3
