We are having unseasonably hot weather, and I am SO over it. I don't care about pumpkin spice anything (I can take or leave it), but I *do* want to wear a hoodie for walks in the crisp autumn air with leaves crunching beneath my feet, damnit!

What keeps you from wandering outdoors for exercise? For me, it's always when it's both hot and humid. Yuck!

As always, if you're feeling like it, please share your fitness progress or lack thereof. You know we won't judge. :-)

Weight: I'm using yesterday's weigh-in of 10.4 pounds, which means I lost 1.6 this week.

Exercise: I did my best to get at least 45 minutes every day. I did yoga every day and lifted light weights at least five of seven days. I did a lot of walking at work and also walked in front of the TV a few times. I was really proud of myself that I earned a strength-training badge for having logged 200 separate strength-training activities.

Eating plan: I've been better about not snacking at night and also had several days when I was well below my daily calorie goal. Yay! (I also had two weekend days when I was above said goal, but I "made up" for it with exercise.) Saturday, I accidentally fasted for more than 16 hours, and it was fine.

Sleep: This continues to be a crapshoot. T. is attending a local film festival during the week, and he doesn't get home until after midnight, which means I had trouble falling asleep last night and probably will until the festival is over. I've also been having stress dreams. (Last night, I was being hunted indoors by velociraptors. Very Jurassic Park. Very not cool.)

Hydration: On this front, I have been fairly good.

Here's hoping we all have a good week to be!

I hope your sleep improves soon. I often dream about being hunted by lions for some reason. The thought of being turned into lion-lunch is clearly something that bothers me on a deep level. I've started using the herbal pillow spray again now that my brain has quietened a little and I think it actually does work. I've been sleeping quite soundly and am waking up less during the night.

My plan for this week is to get back into fasting. I missed both breakfast and lunch yesterday and found it relatively easy not to eat all day, so my plan is to try and do that on Mon, Weds and Fri, and then just skip breakfast on Tues and Thurs. We'll see how it goes.

Sorry to hear about the poor sleep, but congratulations on all the rest of your successes this week!

Wandering outdoors might just be the only exercise I really enjoy, and 100%, it's the heat and humidity that keeps me from doing it. I hope autumn makes it your way soon. I went for a walk around 7:30 this morning here, and I could slightly see my breath, which was just wonderful.

Things have been moving in the right direction for me this week. I've gone out for a walk every morning after some bonus bodyweight exercises, eaten three meals a day, kept off the caffeine, stretched every evening, and allllllmost got to bed on time each night. Finding a new source of low-stress recipes online (from a dietician with ADHD) was a major win a few weeks ago and has been making the after-work "I don't want to cook" blahs easier to overcome.

Oof, extremely much to do! Just checking in to say that I have been spending a LOT of time unpacking etc and getting to know my new housemate. But I have bathed in the lake every day since moving in, and even found some time to work out, as well as doing some physical work in the garden. Reading and writing are the things that have suffered....
