Greetings, inimitable fellow travelers!

How has the past week been for you in terms of your fitness goals (or any others, for that matter)? I hope it's been easy on you and that you've found moments of joy along the way.

Weight: 201.8, down .6 from last week, for a total loss of 10.6 pounds since 1 September. I'm happy with that loss because it's more in line with what I was expecting and planning, and sometimes I get superstitious when I have too many big loss weeks.

Exercise: I did yoga four times, strength-training three, and walked every day. I got an especially high number of steps on Saturday, and yesterday I both jogged and walked, which was awesome!

I'm especially proud of myself this week because I spent a good portion of it suffering from an immune response to the pneumonia vaccine I had on 10/23. I had to take over-the-counter allergy meds for the first time in my life, and not surprisingly, given my body's rejection of even totally normal medicines, I did not enjoy the experience. So, go me for exercising even though my head was all weird and floaty and I was freakin' exhausted pretty much constantly. (I'm happy to say the reaction has mostly resolved and is, at least, a lot less painful than it was.)

Eating plan: I've been focusing on clean eating, lots of whole foods, limited processed food (and what I do eat on the relatively healthier end of the processed spectrum), portion control, etc. I'm not starving myself, and I'm not having cravings, which is fantastic.

Hydration: This always gets tricky with the colder weather, but I'm on it! My body definitely lets me know when I haven't had enough water.

Meditation: Yes, at least twice or maybe three times (?).

Sleep: I got more than my usual sleep because the meds and the immune reaction both kicked my butt. Last night is a different story, though, thanks to the time change. I hate Daylight Savings Time and the return to standard time as well. I am not made for this kind of change! Hmph!

The week ahead: More of the same, minus the unfortunate immune reaction, thank you very much!

Here's hoping the week ahead is a good one for all of us!

Soooo much work.

Recently:

* I cleared off the daffodil bed and covered it with 2 bags of compost and manure.

* I cleared off the tulip bed and spread 3 bags there. It needs one more, which was today's plan to finish, but...

Today:

My air plants came! :D 3q3q3q!!! So today I've been scampering around the house and yard to gather materials. I've gotten as far as figuring out where a few of the plants will go, and trying to stick on extra chips to create more pockets for them. I think I need a rubbery craft glue rather than the wood glue I started with, though. But progress! Hopefully I'll get this set of pictures posted later.

And tomorrow is the November Poetry Fishbowl with a theme of "Fairies and Fey" which means I'll be at the computer most of the day.

... I'll get that last bag on the tulips eventually, and then I need to cover both beds with leaf mulch.

>>Wow, you got a TON of work done! Go, you! That's awesome!<<

Yeah, I'm sooo close to finishing the beds but can't do yardwork today.

>>Enjoy your air plants, too!<<

I got a really cute set, and with 10 I can try different ones inside the lantern -- I expect to have extras.

>> And I hope you've been having a blast with November Poetry Fishbowl. Yay for inspiration! :-)

It is open here. So far I've got the first freebie posted, and there will be another later because of a new prompter:

Too much stress because too many tasks. : ( Must find ways of cutting down on tasks. The problem, basically, is my volunteer work at the environmental organizations, where I have too many roles.

Glad you're feeling better! I didn't know there was a jab specifically for pneumonia. Last week I had both the flu and covid jabs. I haven't had the covid vaccination since 2021. I get those two vaccinations for free on the NHS because of my rheumatoid arthritis. I'm adamant not get sick this year. My plan is also to eat as many plants as possible to boost my immune system. Food is medicine.
