I'm so sorry, hon. I sincerely thought I'd responded to your comment, but apparently, I just read it and saved it and then my brain filed it under "answered."

Thank you for your gentle and kind response, re: emotional eating. It's been my Achilles heel my whole life, brought on by food behaviors restricted/determined by my mother and then just snowballing from there, as these things do. Being aware of the habits doesn't always help me to curb them, particularly when I'm not seeing results on the scale. I'm pleased to say that I've avoided *despair* eating, wherein I give up on being healthy altogether, and I haven't binged or anything like that. I take both of those positive changes as a sign that I am, at least in some ways, getting better with stress-eating and the like. And, too, things at work are a little less hair-on-fire now. I have no faith that that circumstance will continue, but the lull is nice. Lol!

Your dessert sounds delicious! I enjoy fruit and yogurt. I'm currently suffering through a new-to-me oatmilk yogurt variety that is not so great, but I'm eating it because it was terribly expensive and I'm not throwing it away! Lol! I do find that a nice, all-natural, low-fat granola and fruit help the flavor along a lot.

YAY for lifting weights! I have a five-pound set in my classroom, and if I know I'm going to be at school particularly late, I'll sometimes do a brief round of exercises (say, 8-10 minutes) with those. They're also good for getting me out of my chair when I've been grading too long. Anyway, I find strength training really rewarding, and I'm glad to hear that you are also enjoying it so far. Go, you! YAY! :-)
