Greetings, friends! I'm in a hurry as we're leaving for a few days to visit my BFF from grad school and spend some time hiking, but I wanted to post this first to see how you've been doing.

How was the past week, fitness-wise and/or otherwise? I hope you've had only ups and no downs this past week. If you're feeling it, please do share how the week has gone and let us know if you have any change(s) to your goals.

Weight: I was at 192.2 yesterday, which is down .4 from last week's weight. I actually was at a lower weight this week, which was awesome, but I did some stress eating this weekend, and it showed up on the scale. (This morning's number was SO MUCH higher than it should be that I'm not even counting it.)

Exercise: I did yoga 4/4, strength-training 3/3, and got significant steps either outside or on the elliptical. There was also some gardening earlier in the week and then house-cleaning later on, getting the place more or less in order for the cat-sitter.

Eating: I was mostly good. In fact, until the weekend, I was *REALLY* good. And even with the splurges over the weekend, I didn't think I'd eaten too much or the "wrong" thing. I think this morning's number is a fluke. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Hydration: Yes!

Meditation: Yes, 2/2!

Sleep: I've gotten some really good sleep this week. Blocking the second window in the bedroom helped, so I'll be looking into a more permanent solution than the haphazard sheet I've got up over the blinds now. My sleep schedule has sloooowly started skewing toward my night-owl status, too, but vacation this week will be a test. I don't sleep well away from home, so we'll see.

The week ahead: On the one hand, vacations usually mean weight gain for me. We've rented a cabin, so I'll be able to cook, but I pre-made a double thing of penne and sauce to have quick meals, and while I love pasta, it doesn't usually mean good things for my weight. On the other hand, we're planning to hike in the mountains tomorrow and Wednesday and also ramble on Thursday, though in a town setting. My BFF is a big rambler, and so am I, so there's no doubt I'll get more than my daily quota of steps. And I'm bringing my yoga mat and weights with me, so I'll be able to stick to my exercise regimen. We'll see how it all goes. No regrets if I do gain weight, but I'm hoping I can keep it to a reasonable number.

Wishing you a week full of opportunities to be your healthiest self, whatever that feels like for you personally!
