Fitness Fellowship 2021: Week 48 Check-in
Dec. 1st, 2021 05:33 pmHow goes the struggle, friends? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
Honestly, I'd take a little indifferent these days.
As always, if you'd like to share, please do. We're here to commiserate, cheerlead, and generally engage in non-judgy, fitness-related hijinks!
Weight: My theme for this, the week that includes a major eating holiday in the US, is: Could've been worse. I reached my highest weight of the year, but since Sunday, I've been slowly losing, so long as you don't count TODAY'S weigh-in (naturally), which I am NOT because it's done one of those freakish upticks, so I'm going with yesterday's. It's frustrating because I need progress to maintain momentum. (I know. I know. Unhealthy much, right? *sighs*)
Exercise: I think I've been on the elliptical every day this past week or almost every day? It's been that ugly, in-between weather we tend to get here before real snow happens, and I just haven't felt much like walking outdoors, and for obvious reasons (we've got 12% positivity in my region), I'm also avoiding malls, which are our usual walking route alternatives. Anyway, I'm really pleased with my commitment to the elliptical and with how much I'm still loving it and the iFit workouts.
Eating plan: See above, re: Thanksgiving. But I've been *very* strict since Sunday, with more or less predictable results, and I'm going to keep at it. I've managed to FINALLY kick my nighttime snack habit, too. YAY!
The week ahead: More of the same good behaviors, I hope.
Until next week, stay safe and be good to yourselves! :-)

Date: Sunday, 5 December 2021 09:56 pm (UTC)We've had similar skies here, and it's been hard to motivate myself to want to do anything when I leave in the dark and come home in it too. *sighs*
I'm glad you crave healthy, sun-kissed foods! In the winter, all I crave are things dug out of the earth--starchy potatoes and carrots, for example, and Brussels sprouts roasted with herbs, and stews and chilis and ragouts. (And now I'm hungry--lol!) Anyway, I have to force myself to eat salads because they 'feel' cold to me, and I don't want cold things in cold weather, so good on you for wanting that stuff!
