How goes the struggle, friends? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Honestly, I'd take a little indifferent these days.

As always, if you'd like to share, please do. We're here to commiserate, cheerlead, and generally engage in non-judgy, fitness-related hijinks!

Weight: My theme for this, the week that includes a major eating holiday in the US, is: Could've been worse. I reached my highest weight of the year, but since Sunday, I've been slowly losing, so long as you don't count TODAY'S weigh-in (naturally), which I am NOT because it's done one of those freakish upticks, so I'm going with yesterday's. It's frustrating because I need progress to maintain momentum. (I know. I know. Unhealthy much, right? *sighs*)

Exercise: I think I've been on the elliptical every day this past week or almost every day? It's been that ugly, in-between weather we tend to get here before real snow happens, and I just haven't felt much like walking outdoors, and for obvious reasons (we've got 12% positivity in my region), I'm also avoiding malls, which are our usual walking route alternatives. Anyway, I'm really pleased with my commitment to the elliptical and with how much I'm still loving it and the iFit workouts.

Eating plan: See above, re: Thanksgiving. But I've been *very* strict since Sunday, with more or less predictable results, and I'm going to keep at it. I've managed to FINALLY kick my nighttime snack habit, too. YAY!

The week ahead: More of the same good behaviors, I hope.

Until next week, stay safe and be good to yourselves! :-)

The Winter Dark is such an all-encompassing thing, isn't it. It's hibernating bear weather. I'm feeling very grumpy about having a cold a few weeks after having covid. So much sneezing and congestion. And my body temperature is all over the place. I think having had covid has somehow triggered my menopause. The sweats are waking me up at least twice a night. Eugh, winter! and the croning of the body! At least the sunsets have been beautiful. I feel like I've been driving underneath bruised and bleeding clouds as I drive home. As a southern hemisphere person I still feel like I'm learning to deal with northern winters. I've been feeling hungry for salads - sun-kissed tomatoes, crisp salad leaves, plump cucumbers, fat green avocadoes.
