Fitness Fellowship 2024: Week 20

How'd your week go? Did you have challenges? Personal bests? Please do share your progress (or lack thereof--no judgement) with us here.
Weight: 202.8, up .6 from last week, which is not surprising, given the way my weight was trending all week. I think I'm eating a bit more than usual but still well within the calorie limit and also within my given window for eating, so I'm not sure what's going on there. Weight is a mystery sometimes!
Exercise: Every day, yes. Strength training, yes (I'm including hauling around bags of soil here). Intervals, yes. Inclines, yes.
Eating plan: Only one popcorn incident, I think, and otherwise fine. I think it might be the non-dairy ice cream? I think I need to reduce serving size, even though I have more than enough of a calorie surplus to cover it. I have a weakness for the stuff, and giving it up would be counter-productive, so I do think I just need to get out the measuring cup again.
Meditation/breathing: Yes? Probably? I can't recall a specific instance, but it has become something of a habit, so I think I probably have done some breathing exercise?
Sleep: Yes! Until last night. T. had a v. late shift, and I couldn't fall asleep until he was home and then not for quite a bit after that. *sighs*
Hydration: I worked outside in the sun for most of yesterday afternoon and was DEFINITELY dehydrated but didn't stop to drink water, so that's on me. Headachy and weird-headed for a lot of last evening. You'd think I'd have learned this lesson by now, but no....
The week ahead: My goals are the same, and this time I plan to pay stricter attention to my hydration goal in particular.

Date: Friday, 24 May 2024 12:06 pm (UTC)I'm still struggling with interacting socially and commenting on entries... *sigh* So I'm trying to just do a quick update of the week up to my comment's date, as my tendency to catch up really doesn't help. *g*
Weight is still not moving which annoys me, as I still haven't found out how to tweak it better, and the thing that helps most - sufficient sleep - is elduing me since weeks. I don't sleep badly but just not that much extra that is helping with my weight. Eating is a little better but I'm now struggling with the balance of consuming sufficient carbs for my current level of physical activity while keeping my blood sugar in the desired range. I've had a set-back on that due circumstances outside my influence, but while my numbers went higher than I like them to be they are still overall low, and the circumstances are improving.
I've also struggled a bit with getting enough exercise in - the indoor treadmill helps a lot, but I was so immersed in my (very successful) writing I lacked part of my regular exercise, so all in all it still wasn't as much as I wanted. Very belatedly I've now started to get my veggie garden started, and since the weekend the exercise is going MUCH better due to that. No surprise there. ;op
Mentally I'm doing best, as the intense immersion in my current fannish love and the writing is doing me so good, as is the cutting down on social interaction. So let's say the overall state is ok but the variants need a bit more tweaking, but I'm going into the right direction even if it doesn't always feel like it. ;op

I also hope you are able to find better/more sleep, if that's what you need to feel better too. I know I'm looking forward to the better sleep I get when I'm not working (because I can return to my nocturnal--more natural--habits).
