Hello, again! Welcome back to another week of checking in with one another about our fitness goals and progress therein or lack thereof.

As always, please share if you're able and/or willing. Please know that this little community is for you, so you're welcome to adjust, change, or drop a goal at any time. We're here to listen, not to judge.

Weight: 211.8, so down .6 from last week. I'm happy with this.

Exercise: It was a solid week. I did yoga four of four times pledged, strength training five of four times pledged, and walked every day (some days on the elliptical because of the heat).

Eating plan: I focused on clean eating--lots of fruits, veggies, beans and legumes, whole grains, and the like. I did eat a few processed items, but I strove to make healthier choices even there. I felt *so* much better eating clean, a fact I need to remember when I return to teaching in September and fall back into bad habits because I'm exhausted all the time.

Hydration: Yes!

Sleep: So much good sleep. I love summer break for this alone!

Meditation: Yes! I did guided meditations at least twice but also did some walking meditation while out for a stroll by myself one afternoon this past week. Very healing stuff!

The week ahead: I'm hoping to continue as I have been with the eating plan, exercise, etc.

I'm sending you all the good vibes for a great week ahead!

Saw this on Latest Things and it made me laugh. I don't have separate fitness goals from other stuff. Which right now, in terms of physical activity, consists largely of "How much yardening can I do before the heat melts me into a puddle?" My average is around 10 minutes with a range of 5-15. On a sweltering day I'll only do a couple of essential things. On a day that is merely hot I may also get in some harvesting or other tasks. Hand watering, if it hasn't rained. Spring and fall, the busy seasons, I may rack up 10+ rounds adding up to 1-2 hours or more.

This week has been crazy at school. LAST WEEK was crazy at school. I don't even know. I've been stressed. It's like everybody suddenly thinks because it's the end of the academic year we should jam-pack everything in that we didn't get done during the year because we were too busy. It's the end of the year and we are TOO fucking TIRED. I've been eating badly. And it's been so hot. I've drunk coke and eaten ice cream. Bad stuff. Eugh.

But I think it's finally calming down now and the final two weeks should be better. Also, I went to conference today that reminded me why teaching is (or at least should be) the best job in the world. Better to be stressed than bored and unfulfilled. And tomorrow S and I are going to a fermentation day. I just want to be inspired by good things.

Sorry for being so late again … My time management hasn't been the best this week. But it looks like you had a really successful week! Congrats on meeting all of your goals!

Goal 1 – walking: I went on one short alibi walk. It's at least something :D

Goal 2 – push-ups: *Two* additional incline push-ups. I'm proud of myself :D
