Fitness Fellowship 2022: Week 7 Check-in
Feb. 19th, 2022 03:04 pmHey, everybody! (I always hear that in Fozzie the Bear's voice.) How's it going today? I hope you're all hanging in there.
Here's the spot to share how your fitness journey has been and what you've got planned for the near and/or far-flung future. As always, we're here to listen and not judge. *offers preemptive hugs*
Weight: About a half-pound down from last week, which is fine.
Exercise: I've been doing pretty well, as usual, with this, and we even got out for a long walk in the woods and by the river on Wednesday, during a brief uptick in the temperature before the wild weather we've got right now moved in. Otherwise, I've been doing stairs at work and the elliptical at home. I've let the strength training drop off altogether and need to get back to it. One impediment to further exercise is likely to be my left ankle, which is exhibiting some of the same symptoms it had back when I was hobbled for almost the entire summer of 2020--posterior tibial tendonitis. Thankfully, I still have my brace, and I'm not ignoring these preliminary warning signs this time, so I'm hopeful I can get on top of it before it develops into crippling pain. *crosses fingers*
Eating plan: Still nighttime snacking, which has been balanced by super-healthy breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. If I could have half the motivation I exhibit in exercising every day and apply it to not snacking, I'd be losing pounds like nobody's business. Alas, I am weak-willed.
The week ahead: I'm on winter break, which means I'll have both more challenges (I'm home where the food is) and more time to cook good meals and get lots of exercise. My plan for the week is to relax my calorie restrictions somewhat but not binge or overdo the sweets, snacks, etc., and to get more than the usual exercise to help counteract any negative effects. I think this is doable, and I'm pretty motivated not to gain anything because in a couple of pounds, I won't fit into my work pants, and I refuse to buy the next size up!
I hope the week ahead offers you moments of peace, relaxation, and some of the little joys that make life a wonder.
