Hi, there, fitness friends!

How has your week gone? What are you hoping for in the week(s) ahead? Please share if you're so inclined. We're here to listen and commiserate/celebrate you!

The good news: The day after I posted last week's check-in, my weight was even higher than on check-in, but as of this morning, I've lost .2 pounds since last Sunday, so all that gain is gone plus a little. And I'm frankly sort of surprised by it only because the second half of this week was stressful and involved not getting home in time to cook and therefore having take-out, which isn't the healthiest.

Still, I *did* keep to my daily exercise, often getting more than 12K steps a day, and all nights but one I was in bed on time too, though sometimes the quality of my sleep wasn't always great. I didn't meditate, but I did pray on Beltane and again a couple of other times (outside of my daily morning prayers, which I say religiously, pun intended ;-), so I'm counting that. I've been trying to stay hydrated and having some success with that as well.

In all, it wasn't as bad a week as it might have been, given the stress of the latter half of the week.

This coming week should be less stressful (please, gods, just let it be normal), so I'm going to do my best to make healthy food choices throughout the week and, of course, continue hydrating, exercising, and getting to bed by 11:00pm. I will also, once again, attempt to meditate at least once.

Sending you good vibes for the week ahead!

I can't believe it_s _May_ now and I still didn't manage to join even once... /o\ My goals have changed throughout the year already, and I've been partly successful so far. As you know I'm permanently struggling with my sleeping schedule which has been completely broken since the first pandemic year, but I finally managed to break the pattern just before or short holiday in April, and am still keeping it up, which is a major succes for me (to put it short, 2-3 hours earlier to bed). I still don't mange to sleep enough and get up at my set time which is my current WIP, and unfortunately this changed sleeping patterin is affecting my metabolism more than I thought so now I have to figure out some things about this all over again. ;op But it's worth it in the long run, I think. The other goal is getting back to my daily evening walks not only for getting more steps in but mainly also for the relaxing and soothing effect to be in nature(ish). Between the weather being rotten and me having either the flu or a sprained ankle I've been really negligent about this, as well with alternatives - part of this is also due to my changed sleeping pattern as I now get tired much earlier in the evening and don't find the energy to do what I used to do after dinner, fitness/moving-wise.
Go you for having a decent week despite all the stress, and hopefully the current week was/is much better for you! *hugs*
