Fitness Fellowship 2023: Week 43 Check-in
Oct. 22nd, 2023 04:53 pmIt has been a difficult week for me, personal news-wise, but I am hanging in there and have NOT resorted to stress eating, which is kind of a big deal, honestly. I hope your week has been a better one than mine and that you are finding the willpower, time, and/or energy you need to achieve your fitness goals.
Please do tell us how the week has gone for you!
I weighed in at 211 pounds this morning, which means I have lost 9.6 since I started intermittent fasting. I think that means it's working. I find that on days when I get enough exercise, I can feel the difference. I'm also doing my best to be healthy in my food choices despite wanting to eat only easy-to-make stuff, since I'm currently struggling with some pretty heavy-duty anxiety.
Anxiety always makes it difficult for me to eat. I guess that might be one silver lining to having to have surgery?
Anyway, I haven't been as good about hydrating some days, largely because it's cold in my classroom most days, and I don't like drinking cold beverages when I'm already chilly. I do make tea, but I don't always have time to go through that process. I am aware of the shortcoming, however, and am trying to get better about it.
Sleep has been hit or miss since Thursday's phone call from the doctor telling me I need to have a hysterectomy. I think once I have the consultation with her (hopefully this coming week--I have to call tomorrow to make the appointment) and have a sense of exactly what is going to happen and when, I should be able to better manage my anxiety. Right now, there are so many unanswered questions that the uncertainty is making me more anxious than I'd be if I had details, I think.
Anyway, I find exercising helps tire me out and also makes me feel better, so I will make sure I continue getting enough of that and also will work on hydrating, sleeping, and meditating, while also, of course, continuing the intermittent fasting.
I'm sending you good vibes for the week ahead, my friends! May you find achieving your goals easy peasy!
