Sorry for the late, late show. I forgot on Sunday and then remembered last night only after I'd achieved "too tired to keyboard."
How was your week (or so)? Have you been making the best possible choices (as opposed to the best choices, which are different things entirely)? Have you had a chance to rest, be good to yourself, splurge a little, breathe?
I hope you have had at least a few moments of real deep relaxation. For anyone who hasn't, I'm sending cool vibes your way. :-)
I was sick for most of the past week, still am, though it's biggest lingering symptom now is exhaustion (and, too, an overabundance of snot). I had a *really* amazing weigh-in on Saturday morning--204.6--and then suddenly, yesterday morning, I was at 207, which feels like bullshit to me.
I was pretty disappointed because I didn't think I'd done anything to "earn" that gain. This afternoon, I was at 206.2, though, so at least it's coming off.
Whatever the case, I didn't get a lot of exercise for the two worst of the sick days. I really was just too sick to do much of anything. But I made it a point to get out for walks on the weekends, and I even used my exercise bike on Sunday evening, so I guess I'm doing okay exercise-wise.
And eating wise, I'm still intermittent fasting, eating well, and not snacking outside of my eating window (or, really, much inside of it, either. I'm a two-meal person these days, with maybe a very light snack--vegan broth, for example--in between.)
I got a LOT of sleep, though it was often interrupted by coughing and/or nose-blowing, and I've been going to bed early for work this week too to try to give my body as much chance as possible to recover.
I also asked for and got a free-standing air-purifying unit for my classroom--turns out they had a bunch of brand new ones doing nothing on the loading dock. It's one of the COVID specials, big and effective on filtering just about anything, and I have it plugged in on the side of my classroom where I spend the most time (near my desk and my seat in the students' area too).
My plan for this week is to just keep with the IF, exercise, sleep, etc., and hope that the uptick proves one of those weird body flukes.
May the week ahead be as good as it can possibly be. (That word "possible/y" is getting a workout tonight, boyo.)
