Fitness Fellowship 2025: Check-in 38
Sep. 22nd, 2025 06:07 pmIn theory, this is the first day of autumn in my part of the world, but in fact, it's quite warm here, and I would very much like it to stop being thus, so we can have some actual fall-like weather before the snow starts to fly.
I hope the weather where you are is more reasonably seasonal and that that means you're getting out to exercise, if you're so inclined.
As usual, please do share with us how the past week has gone. We've got huzzahs and/or words of commiseration, depending on what you tell us.
Weight: 208.6, down .8 from last week, for a total of 3.8 pounds so far in September. My goal is 2.6 pounds a month through December, so I'm feeling good about this trend so far.
Exercise: I did yoga four times of four pledged, strength training four times of three pledged, and walked every day. Yesterday, once again, I spent more time than I'd planned doing very heavy yardwork, clearing our pond of fallen willow branches, so if we ever get rain, we might actually have water there again.
Eating plan: I have been *so* freakin' good! Seriously, I'm proud of me. And I spent a good portion of Sunday morning roasting potatoes, sweet peppers, and eggplant (separately), so I have plenty of good veggies for the next few nights, as well.
Sleep: I don't sleep well when T isn't home, and he had evening stuff for most of last week, so I didn't get to bed until a half-hour or so past my usual bedtime for a few nights in a row. That SUCKED, and I'm still recovering from the sleep deficit. Otherwise, I've been doing well.
Meditation: Yes, though only once. I don't know what my problem is; I always enjoy it when I actually try it. *sighs*
Hydration: SO MUCH WATER, yesterday in particular but really every day because it's warmer than it should be here.
The week ahead: More of the good stuff.
Here's to good vibes for us all, no matter what we want to use them for!

Date: Wednesday, 24 September 2025 11:41 pm (UTC)Ugh, it sounds like the work is being piled on you, and that is so miserable, never mind the general misery of the news these days. I am feeling every word about both the right wing fascism and the illiteracy, having only just finished grading the summer reading (read: "summer I-didn't-do-any-reading") test. I love the no-news-week rule and hope that the poetry-and-owls rule becomes a regular habit in your household.
Big, big *hugs*, hon. I'm sending you all the sleep and relaxation energy I can spare. I hope the weekend gets here swiftly for you.
