Happy new week, friends! I hope the week past has been good for you, goals-wise and otherwise. Please do share your ups and downs here.

Weight: 205.4, down 1.4 from last week.

Exercise: Every day, yes. In addition: Twice on incline on the elliptical, yes. Twice with hand weights, yes.

Intermittent Fasting: Only one popcorn incident! Also, I kept my splurging to a single day. YAY!

Sleep: I have been not good about getting to bed by 11:00pm and certainly haven't been off-screen by 10:30pm. My sleep and mood both show it, too. I must be better at least for the next two nights. (I have spring break starting Thursday.)

Breathing/Meditation: Yes! I did both some boxing of the breath AND some chanting while walking, which was new-to-me and also awesome!

Hydration: Yes!

The week ahead should be more of the same, though I'm going to be on break and will have to be extra vigilant to avoid backsliding on diet. I will relax my sleeping habits, though I'm sure I'll regret that come April 9, when I return to my regular work schedule.

I'm sending you all the good vibes for a healthy, happy week to be!

Awesome! You're doing great.

I was very good last week and then ... very not good this weekend. Visited a friend and fell back into old habits. In my own place on my own schedule, I'm relatively good about not buying things that will tempt me (because once it's in the house I know I won't resist) but when I'm hanging out with others ... I end up saying yes to every suggestion (pizza, cookies, cake) and then once it's in front of me, I ended up eating way more than the people who suggested the food to begin with. So I'm right back to my highest weight in the last two weeks (but on the plus side, that's still a hair better than last month).

Last week was a very lazy one for me, but this one is off to a good start! My phone this morning gave me a notification to congratulate me on yesterday (Monday) being my most active day this year, with over 43k steps walked, and that's not even counting the actual exercise I get out of doing my job, so I'm in a pretty good mood about it!

Eh, it's my gym for the last 4 years so probably not. But I hadn't paid them since the cancer diagnosis

Yeah, it's always a problem with this particular friend because she can resist overeating when she's not hungry, but she always orders too much because she wants the maximum variety of foods and doesn't want to run out of anything. But then there are multiple boxes of every flavor of Girl Scout cookie, duplicates of multiple flavors of mini cakes, enough pizza for everyone to have a whole large pizza to themselves. And she'll have some of each and then stop, but then there's all this leftover food right in front of me and I can't seem to stop myself from going "just one more" even when I know I'm not hungry anymore.

It's this weird combination of compulsive comfort eating and a guilt about food going to waste. (When I first arrived, I noticed a container of food sitting on the table that she'd forgotten to put in the fridge overnight so that ended up getting thrown away. So, the weekend started right out with this twitchy sense of "She's providing too much food, but if I don't eat it, it will get thrown out.") And intellectually, I know it's not my job to eat all the food so it doesn't "go to waste", but it still drives me nuts for food to just sit there uneaten. It's like food calls to me. Even if I can't see it, I know there is half a container of something in the fridge. So, yeah, multi-packs and "family size" things are my nemesis. It doesn't matter how many people it was meant to feed, I'll just keep eating it until it's gone.

My goal was to get a score of 75 on Zoe but I only managed 68 last week. Anything over 50 is 'good' so I'm fine with that. We had friends stay with us over the weekend, and while I did make a really healthy dinner, a tofu and vegetable stir fry, I then cooked a full English breakfast on Sunday morning so that impacted my weekly score. If I eat anything like bacon then that's it, game over, a score of zero for the whole day. I know before I log the meal that the app is going to judge me hard, even if I only have water and blueberries for the rest of the day! :)

Enjoy spring break. I'm off to SA for two weeks. My dad has been unwell so I'm glad I'll get to see him. I can't imagine he has much longer actually. He seems to have declined a lot in the last few months.

I'm going to try and eat reasonably well while I'm out there. My family tend to eat unprocessed, whole foods and fresh fruit and vegetables, but there will also be red meat and wine. My stomach is probably going to freak out as I've got so used to eating the Zoe Way.

Go you for your achievements and successes of the week! *\o/*
I keep forgetting to join here, but I'll try to be better in that regard! Week 12 was really good for me, fitness-wise; I was travelling for most of the week and got in about a third to half the amount more of my usual steps, first for prep work and deep cleaning at home and then for walking around so much. Also, most of that was walking to and from destinations/public transport stations, so I logged a gratifying number of active minutes. I also slept really well while away and had no issues getting my sleep minimum, if not more - something I'm usually struggling with. But I was also quite sensory overloaded from the museum visits and public transport, which of course did help with the sleep! ;op
I was unsure how well my diet would hold up as I still haven't fully figured out how to adapt my regular very low-carb and mostly sugar free diet to increased mental and physical demands, and needed more emergency bars than I'd expected. But my weight remained the same and my fasting blood sugar was even lower than usual, so I did well also in that regard.
Another postitive experience was finding out that doing that kind of sightseeing walkig, including the relatively slow walking in museums and exhibitions, no longer tires my body out or makes my feet ache - I hadn't really done either since I switched to wearing barefoot shoes, and I'm impressed by the difference that is making. On the other hand the mental exhaustion from sensory overload in public transport and visiting museums has much increased, and I found I can't take in as much as I used to any longer.

Late comment, oh well...good luck with the no-screens-after 10.30pm goal!

Goals for last week:
- do PT on two days,
One day.
- go running on two days,
Yes.
- work out on three days,
Two days.
- go hiking on one day (about 8 km),
Yes!
- keep to my sleep schedule,
A little backsliding here--I'm doing well with no screens after 10 pm, but I often read longer than 11 pm...
- continue to be mindful of what I eat,
Not losing any more weight, but since I'm stable at -2kg from where I started, that's fine too.
- meet up with a friend
Yes, and it was lovely.

This week's goals:
- do PT on two days,
- go running on two days,
- work out on three days,
- keep to my sleep schedule,
- continue to be mindful of what I eat (I did splurge on a restaurant meal on Tuesday, but that's fine!),
